Is it possible to implement a new SAP Cloud ERP system in just seven weeks – and that in a manufacturing company?
Normally, this is where you’d say: impossible.
Once again, we say: challenge accepted!
Project duration and project costs reduced by two thirds
Through close coordination with the Demonstration Factory Aachen, we were able to define clear prerequisites and framework conditions.
The result: a reduction of project duration and costs by two thirds!
Project launch with the Demonstration Factory Aachen
The Demonstration Factory is the central manufacturing company on the RWTH Aachen Campus and, as an independent legal entity, represents applied research and production at the cutting edge of Industry 4.0. Over the next four years, production will be significantly expanded and the team strengthened with additional employees. The planned go-live in January 2026 marks a key milestone in this journey.
Activate reimagined – optimized for speed
To achieve this ambitious goal, we adapted the SAP “Activate” methodology to the specific requirements. Our approach is driven by pragmatism, team spirit, and speed – always with the aim of delivering the best possible solution within the given timeframe.
A project of special significance
We aim not only to demonstrate what can be achieved in the shortest time with focus and team energy, but also to show that, with the Demonstration Factory Aachen, we have a partner who thinks beyond the conventional. In 2026, we plan to further optimize the solution – and, together with RWTH Aachen, set innovative impulses in the field of digital manufacturing.
We look forward to the coming weeks – to close collaboration, exciting insights, and the proof that ambitious goals can be achieved when pursued together.
I can feel what is possible when everyone pulls together. In just seven weeks, we will be introducing SAP S/4HANA at our demo factory – together with our partner XEPTUM from Neckarsulm. Every day, this project shows me what team spirit, passion, and trust can achieve. Digitalization is not a tool – it begins in the minds and hearts of the people who live it. I am incredibly proud of the project team.
