4/25/2010 Social involvement - project coaching young peopleXEPTUM Consulting AG has launched its first project “Coaching young people”, working jointly with the “Starke Familien” (Strong Families) foundation and JuLe (Jugendhilfe im Lebensfeld – Help for Young People in the Area of Life) in Neckarsulm. The aim of this project is to make a contribution to empowering the young people personally and integrating them socially. The idea is for the young people to get to know adults as examples, gain an insight into the world of work, experience appreciation from people of higher social status and thus have a feeling of “belonging”. In this way they will become aware of opportunities and means for their own development and integration into the community.
The project will be implemented in 4 steps/modules.
Module 1: Visiting a sports event together (Getting to know each other and having fun together)
Module 2: IT as a field of work (the young people will get to know the company, information technology as a field of work and people who work in this area)
Module 3: Entering the “world of work”, overcoming obstacles: Self-presentation, applying for jobs, visit to a job information centre
Module 4: Review, conclusion with “games and a good meal”
For kicking the project off and first getting to know one another, “having fun together” is the most important factor.
The starting point was on Sunday 25 April 2010 at 17.00 with a visit to a Bundesliga basketball match in
We all went together from Neckarsulm by bus to the Ludwigsburg Arena, where we watched the professionals playing their last home match of the season, excitedly anticipated the team’s victory and hailed the final score of 77:67. A tremendous atmosphere awaited the young people. They obviously greatly enjoyed the battle cry “The fans, the fans …” and vociferously cheered the players on. With drumming, gossip and sirens the hall was really fired up, and we were able to be there live at a high level professional basketball match.
